Colorado High Times Cannabis Cup – April 16-18

Colorado is up next in 2016 and we are waiting for big surprises this in April. We hope nothing goes wrong. Since cannabis has been legalized in January 2014 the state and industry have benefited largely from the sales of marijuana. At the 2015 Colorado High Times Cannabis Cup we ware impressed by crazy cool sativa, indica and hybrid THC and CBD strains; edible and topical products. The event hosted the local Denver Cannabis Cup but also the “Oscars” in the national US High Times Cannabis Cup.

Ghost Train Haze, Louis XIII and Kong were the absolute winners on the satica, indica and hybrid category. Greenman Cannabis snatched the 1st place on both the sativa and indica leaving the hybrid category for Allgreens.

Sweet Silver Haze, Colorado Bubba and Starkiller occupied 2nd place. These strains were represented by Rocky Mountain High, MMJ America Boulder and again Greenman Cannabis. It was a awesome year for the latter.

Now, last but not least, on 3rd place Pootie Tang, Black Fire and OG KB Cookies have been nominated as stars. Starbuds, Docs Apothecary in collaboration with the Ethos Collective and MMJ America Downtown were the companies that brought forward our last nominees.

Sadly none of the Denver, Colorado entries qualified for the ultimate podium. But 2016 might bring a lot of surprises on the table. Let’s hope for the best and wish Colorado Good luck in the 2016 US session.

So let’s see the nominees. Ghost Train Haze #13, Granddaddy Purps and T.S.T. Cookies are the 1st place winners in the US High Times Cannabis Cup 2015 session. Greenway Las Vegas, Herbal Healin and Greenwolf and Top Shelf Terps produced the best sativa, indica and hybrid strains in the US last year.

Veganic Strawberry Cough, Kosher Kush and Cali Kush Farms Emperor Cookie Dough were named as 2nd best strains. Private Stock for Buds & Roses of LA, Greenwolf LA with Kushco and again Greenwolf LA brought forward our 2nd most jucy strains.

On 3rd Green Crack, DaVinci OG and Mega Wellness OG have been judged as last winners of the “US Cannabis Oscars”. But who produced these amazing strains? Christopher Stine, Greenwolf LA with Ghost Crow and The Weed, The Wellness Earth Energy Dispensary with Nameless Genetics are the ones who gave us these crazy cool buds.

We think that is is safe to say that with all these nationalizations, the best bud producing company in the US 2015 “Cannabis Oscars” was Greenwolf. After snatching 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in different categories, alone or in colabos, Greenwolf is absolute winner.
